Create Amazon Account Without Mobile Number

Sellers and buyers can turn to Amazon to fulfill their needs because it’s updated frequently with new products across various industries, including books, clothing, furniture, home appliances, office productivity tools, and more. To begin buying or selling on Amazon, you must first have an Amazon account, which isn’t hard to do!

However, sometimes you will see that Amazon requires you to provide a mobile phone number when creating an account, which may be annoying. How to create an Amazon account without a mobile number? Don’t worry, and you can completely have an Amazon account without providing any phone number.

How To Create An Amazon Account?

In the age of online shopping, Amazon.com has become one of the largest online sellers of goods from just about any category imaginable. Setting up an Amazon account is free.

It also doesn’t even require a lot of information before being able to start browsing for your favorite items or shipping them to your location for as little as $2 per item in most cases.

The steps below are very simple to follow, so you should check them carefully:

The first thing you need to do is go to the Amazon portal. In other words, type in www.amazon.com into your browser’s bar and press “Enter.”

Once you’re on Amazon’s main page, click on “Your Account” – it looks like a person curled up in a ball. That will take you to your Amazon account page, where you’ll see a box called Start Here (or sometimes it’s closer to the top of the page).

That box has an ‘Apply for Seller Central‘ button. This button has directions on how to apply for an account inside the box if you weren’t aware of this step before starting this tutorial.

After completing all the steps above, you have already had an Amazon account.

How To Create An Amazon Account Without A Mobile Number?

Under Amazon policies, the Register with a Phone Number feature is optional. Thus, you can completely create an Amazon account without providing your mobile phone number.

Alternatively, you can use your email to create your account on Amazon.

However, you have to provide your phone number if you shop online on Amazon

That is because delivery people will use it to call you when they need more information or confirm the details of your order. As a precaution, you can block it from appearing on your Amazon profile, so only delivery people will know that the number is associated with the account (only used for delivery, though).

If you’re interested in creating an Amazon account that is not linked to a phone number, you’ll need to follow the steps below:

Sign up for Amazon.com here, and it will walk you through the easy process of creating your new Amazon account.

A user-friendly registration form, which includes a name, email address, and password, will be displayed on the screen for you to fill in as necessary. You can see that there is no requirement for any mobile phone number. When finished, sign up and create your profile without providing your phone number.

How To Skip Amazon Phone Number Verification?

Providing a phone number when creating an account on Amazon lets you access many more conveniences. You can easily update your delivery status and receive important information via text messages.

Occasionally you may get asked to verify your account with additional information.

Normally, you can get it done through the 2-step verification option or through contact methods that you’ve pre-approved (like wireless service or credit cards) if there’s a discrepancy between the information in your user profile and the shipping address associated with your gadget.

For added security, there are several verification options listed. The most common one is receiving a verification code via text message. Alternatively, Text Message Verification can also be sent to your email address, or you can even call them directly to confirm your identity.

And of course, you also can also skip the phone verification from Amazon switchboard staff.

To disable Two-Step Verification, go to Amazon.com and sign in to your account. Then select the “Settings” option. Under “Login & Security“, you’ll find an Edit button. Click that, and you will see an option to turn off 2-Step Verification.

Next, you need to enter your “Amazon Security Code” from the backup of your choice on the next page. Doing this will provide you with a confirmation screen that says “Verification Disabled” and confirms that you have successfully turned off the 2-Step Verification.

After entering your code, a notification will be sent to you, saying “Successfully Disarmed – Your account is now unprotected”.

Following those steps carefully, you are done. You will no longer feel annoyed because of Amazon phone verification.

Conclusion

All you need to do is follow them carefully, and you will be successful in having an account as you want.
