Is Amazon Prime No Longer 2-Days Shipping?

There is no exact answer to this question.

Previously, Amazon Prime offered a lot of incentives, such as shipping to customers. Usually, besides paying for the goods, you also have to pay a small number of shipping costs for overseas orders. But for Amazon Prime, you can save some or all of your shipping costs on orders that ship in two days.

In addition to free 2-day shipping, Amazon Prime also gives you some other great benefits. A good example is Amazon Prime Now, which offers free 2-hour delivery on certain items, up to 5% off your total bill when you shop on Amazon.

According to an announcement from Amazon, there will be a limitation on the number of Prime memberships, and it is only served to some members in certain cities with delivery on the same day. We can see that Amazon intends to remove the Prime membership to benefit other consumers better.

Some people said that Amazon stopped offering 2-day shipping in 2024. However, this claim is not the truth. 2-day shipping is still provided to consumers, but Amazon needs time to arrange many goods before delivering them to consumers.

What Happened To Amazon Prime 2-Day Shipping?

Now, Amazon Prime 2-Day Shipping gone will be more limited than before, and if you want to use this service, you will have to spend a small amount of money.

Instead of a 2-day shipping time, Amazon will need about 5 to 7 days to deliver goods to customers. Why is Amazon taking so long? Because orders are growing rapidly, Amazon needs more time to process those orders. Some items are not available, so it will take longer to prepare. Packing and shipping time also takes place in about five days.

There are also a few other reasons for removing Amazon Prime 2-Day Shipping. Some argue that Amazon wants to phase out its Prime membership program or that they don’t have the workforce to deliver within two days to millions of customers nationwide.

Specifically, you will have to pay an additional $ 3.99 if you want your item shipped within two days. You can also pay $139 for a year of Amazon Prime 2-day shipping.

What You Will Do If Your Amazon Prime Delivery Is Late?

If you’re an Amazon Prime member and your delivery is more than two days late, you can follow some simple steps to speed up the shipping process.

Prime Day & Prime Deliveries

Prime Day & Prime Deliveries

We still cannot know what the official Amazon Prime Day is. However, based on the program last year, it often takes place on 21 or 22 June. Amazon will deliver the announcement officially at the end of May.

Amazon Prime Day is known as the biggest retail store of Amazon. The amount of orders on this day is also huge so that suppliers will also be ready for the late delivery. You can attend this holiday and find some tips to use when your delivery is too late.

Understanding The Perks

You need to know all the perks you can receive when the delivery is late. Amazon does not have any official refund policy for late Prime delivery, but it is also a good point. In the past, all consumers who could not receive their goods when Amazon gave out will receive one month of Amazon Prime without paying any fee.

Amazon also added more information that Prime is extended for one free trial and 12 times for members with one-year registration. Nowadays, Amazon will give you a refund for late delivery, and you need to contact the customer service department of Amazon to receive it.

Besides, there are also many other perks to this problem. For example, you will receive a gift value from $5 to $20 for any electronic products on the website. In addition, you will also be given a 20 per cent discount for Prime membership registration.

We are not certain about these perks, but there is one thing you can receive one free extra month of Amazon Prime.

Contacting Amazon

If you want to contact Amazon to complain about a late shipment, you should use the information on the website. You can call or text an assistant about your issue.

However, the best advice for you is to call Amazon so that they can support you in the fastest time. You only need to wait a few minutes to connect with the assistant. After that, they will get access to the pages to check your order and update information with Amazon Prime.

Talking To Customer Service

When you talk with customer service, you only need to give evidence about your order and the late delivery of Amazon prime. Amazon will quickly confirm your goods and probably give you an extra month of Prime membership for this problem.

Conclusion

This article gives you all information. Although this shipping program is no longer popular, you will also have other ways to solve this problem. You can complain about late shipments and receive many other perks from Amazon Prime.

Because of where I live, I have never received 2-day shipping. More like 3-4 in the “old days.” Now it’s up to 10 days, but since it’s still free shipping on Amazon Prime sales, I’m ok with that. The longer delivery started with the pandemic, but I know their sales are in the gazillions. If I don’t want to wait, I go elsewhere. Which reminds me, be sure to compare prices. Theirs isn’t always the best price, and sometimes their price is absurd, making “free shipping” a misnomer. The membership keeps going up, up, up, so I don’t know how long I’ll continue. I’ve been shopping with Amazon since it was a used bookstore, so it will be weird to shut it off.

Pretty much everything now is 5+ days for delivery. I guess I will go back to driving to the store to pick up items; the price between Target, Walmart, and Costco, which now deliver faster, is negligible. Lowes, Home Depot, you can order online and pick it up the same day. Sorry but Amazon Prime @ $139 has lost its value for me. Many items do not even report a tracking number until 4 days after the order was placed. For example, I just ordered some JB Weld on 9/13, which didn’t ship until 9/17, from a warehouse 300 miles away. I look on home depot, and it is available immediately for same-day pickup and is only $.28 more. Amazon can no longer be considered the prime source for many items.

In the past week, everything on Amazon went from 2-day delivery to 7 days and many items show delayed delivery after you place the order. If this is the new Amazon Prime, they are no longer worth the $139. I place orders with Walmart+, and I get the same or next-day delivery. I place orders with Target and I get next or 2nd day delivery with FedEx with no membership fee.
