Shopping Behaviour Xplained Ltd is one of the world’s leading specialist shopper research agencies. We offer both qualitative and quantitative research services via a number of unique and bespoke research methodologies. We compare what shoppers actually do in-store with their conscious and sub-conscious motivations and opinions.
Our ongoing success means that we are expanding and therefore we are looking to grow our specialist team by adding a further very specialist field based engineer. An exciting new role now exists for a person who can set up and configure wireless networks. You will have good interpersonal skills and a keen eye for detail. In addition, the following key attributes are essential:
- The ability to set up temporary wireless networks of cameras in order to create CCTV systems in-store.
- Be able to discuss with store managers the needs of the CCTV and what that entails in terms of impacting n store operations.
- A skilled engineer who is happy to work around the UK, Europe and The Far East, staying away for 2 or 3 nights at a time.
- If you are able to also input Excel spreadsheet data that would be a definite advantage.
- You will need to have experience of travelling and be able to be self-sufficient whilst ‘on the road’, although all expenses will be reimbursed.
- A keen interest in understanding people’s behaviour is a definite advantage.

- The ability to build relationships with some of the top retail professionals in the UK.
- Be able to identify, pitch for and WIN new shopper research business.
- A skilful presenter who can engage prospects by way of an informative manner.
- Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is a necessity.
- Possess a full (preferably clean) driving licence.
- A keen interest in understanding the human mind and people’s behaviour is a definite advantage.
